I volunteered at the Erie Zoo last Halloween and it was great seeing these guys all dressed up as Storm Troopers. Not the best quality since it was from my phone and it was night.... And these were just folks out at the zoo, not folks volunteering. Now I found a good link to make a decent storm trooper costume

I would love to have a stormtrooper suit.. my only concern is showing up to thing and all the other storm troopers going "Who is that guy? Is he a member of our club?"
I'd be like "No, I just want to walk around in a storm trooper suit, leave me alone".
Which is why I'd probably opt for a space marine suit instead.
Either way, you get to yell "FOR THE EMPEROR!"

come to the dark side we have cookies!
I so have to start getting my stuff together to make me something good like this for halloween.
Like I said last year I volunteered at the Erie Zoo. I want to do it again.
I thought it would suck to do a costume role but I had fun dressing up as Slimer from the Ghostbusters. Was sort of funny, half the kids were scared to death and the other ones come running over ditching mom or dad along the way. This year I might take one night and just go check stuff out without volunteering that night.
Storm trooper costume would also be pretty cool for going down to Con on the Cobb or going to the one game/book store in Erie for free comic day.
Oh no.... I used to think the folks dressing up in Star Fleet uniforms were total nerds.... oh kill me now!

UncleDog got me started looking into the Mandolorian Armor.... Hmmm more apt to be customized where the Jedi & Stormtrooper stuff cannot be..... There are a few international costume clubs for Star Wars that do charity stuff (walk for life, children hospitals, toys for tots). I think I found something that is going to be killing a lot of my free time. All I was originally gunning for was a Halloween costume and something to wear if I go to some conventions. Since last year I have been slacking off on my volunteer stuff. I don;t have the fat stacks of Franklins to write big checks but I do like to volunteer. also cool this friday my double red and whole blood donations are in sync so I can got donate blood.
